God's Purpose for YOU!

Everyone has their own unique purpose. While each may be different, we are all called to do the same thing: spread the word of God. 

Matthew 28:16-20

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” 

I struggled to find my purpose in God for the longest time. At times I thought that there was no purpose and I’m just here to sit back and watch others as they spread the word. I didn’t want to be overbearing or extremely open about God because I was so concerned about how others would view me, but I was so eager to know what God had in store for me. One night I had been struggling with my faith and found myself praying, asking for my purpose. After I had prayed, I decided to open my Bible to a random verse. The verses that I had opened to was Ecclesiastes 3:11, which reads: 

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

For me that was like the biggest slap in the face to be patient. When I get spoken to through verses I like to put the date I found the verse in the margins, just to keep a timeline of my faith. I got on my phone and looked at the date and it was March 11, 3/11. If you know me, you know that I don’t believe in coincidences. There are no coincidences with God. That’s how I knew this was something that He wanted me to hear. 

A week or two later I started this blog! I’ve had an urge to for the longest time but was too worried about others opinions to listen to what He wanted for me. I finally decided to let go and let God speak through me. 

Your purpose isn’t defined by how many instagram follows you have or how many people like you. It is found in God. If you’re struggling to find your purpose, pray. Be patient and worship while you wait! Love y’all!
